drop ship help?

I need to make bit of extra cash till I get new job after the 1 I worked at closed down and people have been saying drop ships are easy to make bit cash if you have time, The only thing I have is do you have to buy the items or how does this all work?

If anyone can help or give feedback that would be great help

From what I can remember Drop Shipping is when you take orders from the consumer and direct the order to the specific seller, which leads to you gaining a percentage of the profit/money or setting a higher price? You don't buy any items or hold any liquid assets it's purely taking orders and redirecting them to the wholesaler. I can't see you making any major bucks from Drop Shipping as people have the convenience of Ebay and Amazon etc which they can do at their convenience and are big names who they trust. Are you doing this online i'm guessing or what?
