I was watching Mr Bean earlier, and the episode I was watching had a rather funny moment in it. Mr Bean came up with a very strange contraption to wake himself up rather than relying on his alarm clock. It involved a hosepipe connected to a tea machine and hot water shooting onto his feet! The standard way of waking yourself up would be an alarm clock, or asking someone to shout you at a specific time.

For this competition I want you to come up with a different way that you could ensure you would wake up should your alarm fail. Be imaginative-picture yourself oversleeping and think what crazy method you could use to wake yourself up at a specific time.

Set up a very complicated system in which:
Your pet hamster runs in a ball , knocks over a plant witch knocks over a broom , which then pulls on a piece of rope wich tips water on your head

Something like on Chitty chitty bang bang/ mixed with Wallace and Gromit. So something that'll actively pull you up out of bed and then you'll have breakfast ready in front of you for when you wake up.
Smell of breakfast and getting dressed usually wakes me up.
That and being physically moved.

Imagine this. An overly advanced system where there are 2 pistons that activate at a specific time or can be triggered by light levels. These pistons would be under the bed on one side and on the other side would be a tray filled with odor-less mid or dirty substance. If that isn't enough to wake me up a timer will trigger that will be set off when weight (me) is removed from the tray. If I do not get off A boxing glove will repeatedly hit me till I awaken. The mud or dirty substance ensures I have a shower aswell!

set a toaster on high, a thing so at what ever time you usually get up it turns on toaster to burn toast. and then your fire alarm will go off. if this does not work your screwed.
