Should the United Kingdom (in other words Britain) be dissolved in the event of Scottish independence?

The new flag of the United Kingdom of England, Wales and Northern Ireland?
In the 1700s, the Union of the Crowns brought the unification of the English and Scottish thrones together under the same monarch - a relationship similar today to that of Britain to Australia or Canada. On January 1st 1801, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland was born and become a unified sovereign state with one parliament at Westminster. The rest, they say, is history.
From 1997 onwards, the Labour Government under the Blair Ministry introduced devolution to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland whereby Scotland would revive it's own parliament, Wales would have an assembly as would Northern Ireland. This constitutional change was intended to dampen down demands for independence in Scotland, yet, as the likes of Enoch Powell had warned - it made the situation worse. In 2011, the SNP under Alex Salmond achieved a majority in Holyrod and have agreed to a referendum in 2014 on whether or not Scotland is to remain a part of the United Kingdom.
If Scotland decides to leave though, where does that leave the rest of the United Kingdom? England would remain without it's own parliament whilst Wales and Northern Ireland would both maintain their assemblies - would the country be renamed the United Kingdom of England, Wales and Northern Ireland or would it stay the same? would the Union flag lose it's distinctive royal blue? would the national embelm lose the Scottish unicorn and what would replace it if so? or would the Union be completely dissolved with Wales and Northern Ireland both becoming independent from England?
What do you think should happen and what will happen in the event of Scotland leaving?
