How to tell where I have posted?

I am using the beautiful Christmas 2011 theme and I really don't want to change it because of this (I love the design, the falling snow, the icons) but the little star that is meant to show up in threads I have posted in is not showing up anywhere. Is there some other way to tell if I have?

For example I have posted in the Pottermore thread and other threads but as you can see in this screenshot there is nothing to indicate I have. Help :(

It just randomly appears in random ass threads even if those clustered around it also have posts by me.

I never knew it showed you on any forum skin what thread you've posted in. Pointless for me anyway :P

If you hover over the icon it will tell you if you have any posts in that thread :)
