I read quite a slightly funny, but majorly pessimistic article on CollegeHumor a few days back. The writer had taken the board game 'The Game of Life' and had tried to make it as realistic as they possibly could - various game spaces now included the 'Student Loan - Pay $10,000", "Have a terrible haircut", "Find grey hair" and "Gain 20 pounds"... cheery eh! This had me thinking about just how many board games we could ruin by making them a tiny bit more realistic; just imagine a version of Snakes & Ladders where you climb up and down the 'property ladder' (British term) and have to call pest control every time you find a snake... thrilling!
For this competition I'd like you to take a genuine game and try and make it more realistic (doesn't necessarily have to be upsetting) in some aspect. Follow the examples above if you're a bit stuck on what to do!
Prize: 5 Credits and 15 Rep
