Ran First 5k

(Sorry if this not the correct forum thread area) I'm so happy I ran my first 5k, the best feeling was crossing the line.

Congratulations!

I did my first 10K on September 20th (I had never done an organized race before then) and I enjoyed every excruciating minute of it. My goal is to complete a marathon within the next 2 years. My ultimate goal would be to complete an Iron Man.

Do you have any aspirations to complete a longer race?

Well done, that's a great achievement!

I haven't been a runner for years, and after wanting to start it up I realised my ankle was too weak from an accident.

I stick to century rides and stuff now, a lot less impact but I still get the cardio and the wonderful feeling of completing new rides. :)

I'm Actually training for a Marathon which I would run in March 29. If I stick with the program I'm in I can get free shoes (the really fine shoes), a shirt, and a water bottle
