the german parliament building is nice to walk around as well (reichstag) you can go all the way up to the dome and see a nice view of berlin and look down whilst parliament sessions are going on
treptow park is nice as well and there is a hugeeeeee river which you can take a peddle boat on to

Go to the shopping centre in Potsdamer platz, not to shop but to go to the ice cream café on the top floor. It is the best ice cream you will ever taste.
Sweet. We are staying in alexanderplatz so I know they have a shopping centre there, but will prob check that one out too. So happy they have pimkie and kiko shops in berlin.
Anyone been to the mauerpark flea market? Our first proper day there is going to be a Sunday. Are most of the shops closed?
Got my kodaline tickets booked too for our third day there
I've booked us in for the reichstag tour.

Also in and around main stations you'll find pretzel places, when I went they were 65c each but I think they're now a euro. Definitely worth it, fresh and tasty! Not like the stale things you get in the UK.
There's an erotic museum too, but I hear it's not worth the money.
did you try currywurst? usually hate the smell of those places at christmas markets but i'll try it
foudn this russian tea house, think I will visit here!! appaz they read fairytales in german one of the evenings. how cute.

Currywurst is alright, nothing special in my opinion though.
Get a good Schnitzel mit Pommes while you're there.
how was your trip Yupt;
11 days for me yessss
Ah totally forgot about this thread, I see you are staying in Alexanderplatz, literally a two minute walk from where I was staying. There's a beer hall not far from Alexanderplatz at all which is really fun to have a look at, it's literally like its just jumped out of the movies. I think the sony centre is absolutely awesome to look around. If you want cheap food then the Mall of Berlin (fab name) has a food court downstairs where you can find some decent food for really cheap. I went to the noodle stand just perpendicular to the large super market there. The brettenburg gate or w.e you call it and the reichstag, again however you spell it, is a short tube or walk away and deffo worth a look at.
i'll pop all my photos up on Facebook tomorrow or something and link you to my album. Here are a few from my instagram though.

I haven't been to Germany but I have been following the reconstruction of the Prussian Imperial Palace on the former Palace of the Soviets and considering it is half built it'd well be worth going to see that as it is now and see it in the future when it's all full rebuilt.
