What crazes were popular when you were in school that you remember really well?

I remember how absurdly popular gel pens were when the glitter and smelly ones came out and I swear the school (primary) had a full economy going based on them. Also insanely popular for a period were those Tunes cough sweets which everyone was sucking on.

How about you?

Glitter pens and also those scoubidous if that's how it's spelt?

Those trashcan sweets and the pens that rub out.

Does a saying count? I remember everyone, and I mean even the teachers joined in at one point, would call each other 'beasts'; it was meant as good and bad, but so ridiculous.

SCOOBYS, they were such a big deal! Tamagotchis were major too, I remember them being banned as well as they'd just constantly go off in school. I also remember those blow pen market things being massive and everyone had them. Also, animal crossing was pretty big too until nintendos got banned :(

The crazes I can remember are:
Sccobys
slingys, they were sore when you got hit in the face with them
these weird rubber band things with messages on them
bouncy balls, that was crazy with people throwing them around in the corridors

There was also them loom band things in my last year of sixth form, first years constantly trying to sell them for £1 each.

If you count sweets, my school was like a market for them, everywhere you went someone was trying to sell sweets, and for ridiculous prices. Some kid tried to sell me a pack of Starburst for £1.50 lol.

Oh yeah, those wristbands with messages on we're massive too. So were the slap on ones; they looked like a ruler and you'd hit it against your wrist and it became a wristband. Magic.

Does anyone remember those rubber stretchy things which got banned cos people were being like choked by them.

Was a bit after my time but I remember it with my siblings years.

Pokémon Cards
Top Trumps
Scoubidous
Wristbands with messages on, as in someone paid £20 for a black and white one.
Bouncy Balls
Those jelly like things you put the loop on one finger then tried to hit people/stuff with them.
Skipping ropes, all the girls had these - I felt great with my Jump Stix but I didn't get the chance to use it.
All the above were banned in my year as some people abused the privilege.
We were also not allowed to go on the field or play with balls.

Only things I remember are scoobies, pokemon cards and the alien babies. A game that I remember is when we stood against a wall and someone kicked a ball at us. Last man standing wins

I remember literally everyone started playing marbles, then some people start bringing in massive steel balls claiming they were marbles (cheaters) and it got banned :(
