As the new season starts this week end what are your predictions.

I think Chelsea will win the prem again.

Man U arsenal and and Man City will all be close for second. Stoke could be like Southampton last year and could have w really good season. Leicester Bournemouth and either Norwich or Watford to go down.

I think Middlesbrough will come up this year too

Chelsea up top, Arsenal to be an interesting contender now that Cech's over there, City trying to buy anyone who looks a little bit English for £90m, Man U attempting to cover for the complete ballsup that is di Maria and pretending they're still a great team, Liverpool just floating around in the past as usual, Stoke punching people in the hip to annoy them... idk it's a pretty open season but Chelsea are going to top it unless something really drastically goes wrong

No it's not. There's a sign up offer bet €10 and get €30 freebet. They are also doing insurebet on five folds so if one team lets you down you get moeny back as free bet.

I just thought since Benteke is a new addition to the team, would they be unlikely to play him every match?

I'm intrigued as to why so many believe Manchester City will finish no higher than fourth place? Out of the last four seasons Manchester City are the only club to not finish outside of the top two.

The Manchester City squad has been improved this summer.

Do we use logic when forming opinions or do we allow personal opinions to be tainted by the poisoned opinions of the media?

Perhaps opinions are formed upon the same basis as those which left the golden boot winner out of the team of the year, or perhaps we use the same foundations which lead to many forming the opinion that the record four-time golden glove award winning goalkeeper is not an adequate goalkeeper.

That would explain it. I'm still anticipating a boom-bust cycle JPEG for Arsenal, a bit like the Liverpool one.

We can't be too far off it. The Tarquins and the media have been telling us for the last four - five seasons that it's their year.

That's an interesting thought. What makes you say this?

Is it the acquisition of one of England's finest young talents? Perhaps the strengthening of their midfield with an England international? Maybe it's the imminent signing of the Bundesliga player of the year?

It seems strange that we'rep so quick to discredit the only team not to finish outside of the top two positions over the last four seasons.

6th Spurs

You holding a disliking for the club doesn't mean that the club is "crap".

I don't particularly like Suarez, it doesn't mean that he's not a world class forward.

--

FlyingJesus, what was Ivanovic doing yesterday? He was so poor, has he had a poor pre-season as well? It's a game of ifs and buts, however if we win on Monday, Sterling will be relishing the chance to come up against Ivanovic if he's in the same form. A five point gap after two games would be a nightmare start for Chelsea.

Don't think today went to plan for IceNineKills. I'm reluctant to mock too much as we haven't played, although I do wonder if Arsenal fans will still be telling us that Cech is going to win them the league.

As for the 'mental' opening day, I think the gap between the top six and the rest of the league is shortening each season.

I think our front line (even when Oscar is fit) will be the same as the west brom game

so Costa, Hazard left, Willian centre and Pedro right.

I'm thinking perhaps we should not send 30 of our players out on loan, then we might have some options other than the same basic starting 11 every week that clearly isn't working :P

That's a joke!!
Not really up to scratch with transfers and stuff. Only really started watching as the season started but still didn't look at transfers. Do you feel like you are particularly missing any of them?

Liverpool v.s. Man Utd coming up!

Don't have any money on this match but what are we thinking? Looking at Utd so far I'd have to say a draw or Liverpool for this one.

Not really as most have never actually played a game for Chelsea anyway lol but Nathan Aké would be a nice option to have and Isaiaiaiaiaah Brown is the future of English football but we seem to be sending him away in the same way Lukaku and Sturridge were which is a waste

FlyingJesus, what's going on in your camp? If Newcastle win tonight you'll be in the bottom three of the league! Your upcoming fixture isn't exactly an easy one either.

We're sitting pretty on top, nice one Brad.

I have analysed all the stats and can now positively conclude the issue is that we are letting in more goals than we score, which is (as many here will I'm sure be amused to note) rather the opposite of what one aims to achieve in a football match

Newcastle and Chelsea in a relegation battle, who would have predicted that in pre-season?

FlyingJesus
