I really wouldn't use Google translate if I were you, the tenses look wrong to me, but I haven't studied Welsh in over 5 years and never mastered it beforehand :)
Stick to the app and learn from the bottom up

I'll pay for the fuel and I'll throw in some pizza.
Patagonia is used as a way to justify the Welsh language being taught, when in reality, no one in Wales will go there. No one needs Patagonia, Wales is all you need.

OK DONE I'M ON MY WAY

it's a small language, yes, dying, no. there's more effort and funding and laws going to preserve it now than ever!
and yes, 150 years ago this year a small group of colonists went out to Patagonia to set up a colony and they all speak Welsh there too! we've had tons of stories this year in the paper about it :)
remember in welsh bacc they told you that ALL employers love it and you'll get a job with it 100%
that was like the biggest lie ever told

it gives you an advantage over quite a lot of other jobs in wales - my company is employing advertising staff and they're looking for someone who speaks welsh when there's obv gonna be more english speakers...

Welsh bacc not speaking welsh. it's like a qualification in colleges (i think maybe schools now too) about Welsh culture and a load of other rubbish. you don't learn any welsh language in it
I agree speaking Welsh gets you a long way. most of my friends speak fluently and it can help you in employment a lot!

oh soz
tbh I had no idea what that course even was I just have to write down all the damn results of it in my picture spreads
well it's just an award that nobody cares about ever
yeah it's pointless. they told us it'll give us a huge advantage when applying for jobs and such and no employer has been interested in it so far (although i got a job anyway so idc)
Don't we have a rule where you can't speak another a language? For all I know she could be calling us something horrible.
i rly hope that's not actually a rule cause that's silly

There definitely used to be one, I believe that might have been that you can't post in another language unless you provide the English translation of it as well. I think it's one of those rules hardly anyone knows is there because it really isn't needed. However, when the thread was made about changing rules I went through a lot of them and I don't believe I came across it. I'll assume it has been removed, and if it hasn't it should have been done when some of the international hotels closed in April and the users were advised to use .Com.

Check you out, with your Welsh knowledge
Welsh is still a language lots of locals speak in North Wales - however English probably seems the more dominant language as to accommodate for the English tourists. Pretty sure they still teach Welsh as a compulsory subject till GCSE or equivalent I think.

There's a phone app called Duolingo that's pretty good. I started learning German but I got lazy.
It does little bits each days which includes some activities of speaking into the microphone to check your pronunciation.
I'm not sure if it has Welsh yet but it may come in handy if you look into another language later on abitoflauren
