Recently, I've been re-watching all of Scrubs, and one of my absolute all time favorite episodes is a very emotional one that involves the death of a popular character. Throughout the entire funeral procession, a song by Joshua Radin plays that mentions all the mistakes and regrets one might have throughout the winter (it's literally so sad, listen to it at your own risk). I personally found it really easy to relate to, but it also gave me a competition idea!
For this competition, I'd like you to make a list of ten things that you should have learned by now.
To confirm; I don't mean things that you don't know, like the rotation of the planets or random things like that; I'm talking life lessons and things that are potentially personal and directed specifically for you. For example, my list would be something like:
1. 'Better the devil you know than the devil you don't' is very apt.
2. Tomorrow is usually not as bad as you're expecting it to be.
3. Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
4. Some people really can't take a joke.
5. Never, ever, ever let someone's interactions with someone else effect your interactions and perceptions of them.
6. Generally, life does not get better. Ever.
7. If there is something you like about your job, hold on to it for as long as you possibly can.
8. Collecting stuff is no longer cool. It's just time-consuming, money-draining, and takes up a lot of space.
9. Always have faith in bouncers.
10. Nobody really knows how to nail life. Everybody else is just guessing.
That would be my list - now show me yours and win some prizes. ;)
Prize: 10 Credits and 15 Rep
