Well, this is my homework, i don't have a clue what this means so can anyone help?

1. By rounding each number to 1 s.f., find an approximate answer to:

(c): 5843 (934 - 963)

(d): (963 + 842) x (783 - 328)

(e):

870 + 692

9487 - 250

First what does s.f stand for ?
If its what i think it is the 1st one might be -169 447 duno if that sounds right to you ?

Thats what i got :) I only done the first answer got the same
Just had a guess but did you take the numbers from the brackets and times the other number?

Umm all i know is its about significant figures. Apart from that im confuzzlulated.

well i think it means rounding stuff so its like easier to calculate :s
