Tonight, Glasgow Rangers Football Club are one win away from sealing the return to the top flight of Scottish football. 4 years ago financial troubles had us kicked down to the bottom league and we had to work our way back up to the top. No way a club like Rangers with hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide belonged in these pub leagues. An average attendance of 39,000 was achieved in every home game in the bottom division of Scottish football.

1,346 days ago, many thought it would be easy, we would beat these part time teams 6-0 every week. It certainly was not :( Terrible management and players who only dropped down leagues just for the money made the experience of a fan horrid. Thankfully not getting promoted last season lead to the arrival of Mark Warburton from Brentford and he has changed this team for the good. The style of play is incredible and we will definitely compete at the top next season.

Its an amazing & sad night for the club and the fans who have stood by the club over the years (even at our lowest moments) to enjoy themselves. A packed out Ibrox with 50,000 fans on a rainy Tuesday night against a part time team.

We are really up there with the best fans in the world!

No surprise really considering they already had the base (like Juventus did when they were sent down) and Scottish football is still Scottish football

true, its more relief than anything though. You have to feel for our fans who had to sit and watch boring long ball football every week when we could of started from scratch with youth and built a team for the future. Scottish football is a mess and the people in charge are ruining the game. Theres just simply not enough money up here compared to BPL

prob not ready for it

we've beaten premiership opposition this year already, and with money to spend in summer we will be ready to compete

How long until they have another money issue and go down again?

Not kidding, I remember seeing that in the news this season that it may happen again.

Not going to happen, we are financially stable with Rangers fan based owners behind us. Lessons have been learnt from the past. It used to cost 1 million a month for our stadium to operate properly, figures like that have been majorly reduced and wage budgets have also been heavily reduced.

Good to hear, that sucks for both players and fans when the club can't sort itself out.

I know mate we have been through it all, for myself who has not missed a home game in 5 years it was amazing to see tonight the hundreds of thousands of fans and ex players who have stuck by us. Emotional but nothing but relief, with the old firm cup game next weekend and another cup final the week after we have plenty to look forward to!

thats championship lol, our average in championship is 46,000 this season however 39k is unreal for the bottom division where teams we played against had stadium capacitys of 1,200 etc... Shows how amateur the teams were

Glad to see you back in the top division, it has certainly been a while. To be honest I don't really follow Scottish Football but it seems to of been a bit quieter north of the border since the demise.

Theres simply just no competition in the Scottish league anymore and Celtic who have had 5 years to establish a young team for the future ready to compete for us coming back but they have only gone backwards in terms of players. Their manager is set to be sacked at the end of the season even though they will win the league, they win games but their quality of football is not good to watch.

you support any teams? :D

Well today was the day, Stage 3 of the Rangers journey was officially complete! Emotional day as our captain who dropped down to the bottom tier to play with us and lost the chance of playing international football, lifted the trophy. SPL here we come!
