Have you ever been caught speeding?

Simple question, have you ever been caught speeding at all and if so what were the consequences? I know some people are able to opt for a speed awareness course, so have you ever done one?

I've not been caught speeding (I don't speed on purpose anyway!), but there are moments when your concentration on your speed lapses and you drive towards a mobile camera van and think SHIT. Thats something that has happened to me twice and both times I thought I was over and never received anything.

Speeding once and one red light ticket, didn't get allowed to do speed awareness. Mind they only last 5 years all in all, so mines gone

Been caught speeding about a year ago now. Police pulled me over
Straight off 3 points £100 fine :(

Yus a few years ago! I was allowed to do the speed awareness course though so did that! :P It wasn't too bad actually!

Yeah I got pulled over about 3 years ago but didn't get a fine or anything, the guy just told me not to do it again haha

Never been caught speeding but I was banned for 18 months when I was 19 for D&D bad times.

Yep, I have been caught going 6km/h over, also I have been caught going 24km/h over the limit. I blame the latter on my partner because they made me drive when I was tired and sick :P

Got done doing 36mph in a 30 on my moped back in 2008, 2 weeks after I bought it

obv not me personally but my step dad was fined for it and my dad once had a signal to slow down by a police officer

Got 3 points and a £100 fine for speeding on the motorway through temporary roadwork's. Won't be doing that again

Yes, first day of driving after passing my test, did 38 in a 30 and a camera caught me :D £85 fine and a 6 hour speed awareness course. No points though. Winner!
