Car hire for 22 year old

Hey looking to hire a car (my friend will be driving) and he is 22. I've looked online and cannot find anywhere that won't charge an absolute fortune due to being under 25. Does anyone know where we could get a good deal?

You get royally shafted for anything car related under 25 pretty much. Realistically your best bet would be some sort of public transport, will take longer because of all the stops but should be far less expensive especially when you take into account petrol and parking costs and all the excesses (mileage from Scootland will bankrupt you) that the hire companies put on. If you're happy to really slum it the Megabus or National Express coaches are ridiculously cheap, just depends what you're willing to suffer :P

Yeah, anything under 25 is subject to hidden costs, so even if you think you've found a great deal, Young Drivers tend to have a fee of around an extra £50 per day and the deposits you have to pay are a hell of a lot more too. Sometimes, rocking up on the day works out 90% cheaper, but is also a lot more risky obviously.

Wait are you going to London? Like if you are going to be in the city you wouldn't want a car anyway. Public transport is pretty good in London. It's a bit of a pain getting to and from the airport but if you plan ahead you will be fine.

From the airport to the hotel and going to Wembley Stadium where you can reserve and pay for parking on event days but can't do all that due to it being a fortune because my friend is under 25. Yeah we wouldn't of went into the city, was more for convience.
