Hey friends, any of you who've been watching the World Cup so far will have seen some rather odd results already, and realistically any prediction is a pure guess at this stage! So I'm taking the pressure off you... by making your choice of who to support totally random.

Just post in this thread to be entered, and you're in with a chance of getting a rather tasty gold bar. Tell your friends to get involved too, since if we have a full 32 entries (ie: one per team) there will also be 20c for the team who ends up losing in the final, and 10c for whoever wins the 3rd/4th place playoff :D

The knockout stage starts in a few days, so considering the number of entries here I'm gonna say unless we magically get to 32 in the next couple of days there's room for THREE MORE and then I'll allocate teams to you for the final 16 - better odds of you guys winning that way anyway, since you can all basically avoid getting Saudi Arabia!

Not a bad display by Croatia but they simply weren't up to the task in the end, and with a 4-2 full time score it was a fantastic way to round off a thoroughly exciting world cup competition :D well done to the French, well done to sexpot; who wins the sweepstakes, and well done to Mandzukic who scored for both teams
