Vertical Tutoring
We're being put into our new forms and houses tomorrow (PLEASE PUT ME IN KRAKAN!!!!!!).
It's where you get 5 people from each year, and shove 'em in a form together. It has hits pros and cons, but I've heard of more failures than successes.
Has anyone had a successful Vertical Tutoring system at school? It's gonna be weird.

we have it at our school and it pointless becasue we are being moved around all the times so we have like different form teacher each term.
-
Our school were gonna use vertical tutoring, but then they realised that people just woudnt go to form if they didnt like it (and everyone hated the idea) so they didnt do it :D
-
We have it, at first everyone was pissed at it including teachers. But after two years of it it seems ok
-
Actually its really good, our school has it. It helps you get to know lots of people in different years who normally you wouldnt get to talk too.

Oh yes, ours is really effective. We get advice off older students and give advice to younger students.
The advice goes along the lines of

It's true that if someone doesn't like it, they just go to another VTG to hang around there. I just go to the Art Shed.

Nobody's happy with their new forms - I have an awful form tutor and an idiot next to me, and all of our Year8s are HORRIBLE.

Instead of doing form groups by year, eg;
YEAR 11 - 11A - 11B - 11C
YEAR 10 - 10A - 10B - 10C
YEAR 9 - 9A - 9B - 9C
YEAR 8 - 8A - 8B - 8C
YEAR 7 - 7A - 7B - 7C
It would be done randomly, so;
FORM 1 - 5 People from each year
FORM 2 - 5 People from each year
FORM 3 - 5 People from each year

There is talk of our school having it but we hven't got it yet. I suspect I will be gone by the time that it actually happens.
