have you tried turning it off and on again
If the above doesn't work then try the following:
Uninstall Skype
Download Skype from the Official Skype Website
Install Skype
ctrl+shift+esc, might have skype.exe already running and it's just not responding
I wonder if it's still the case where Ctrl+Alt+Del has more priority/power (I'm using the wrong words) when you want to kill a specific process or whatever.Quote:

Ok basically what happened is I shut the laptop screen while it was mid update and it was stuck in update so I told boyfriend and its sorted now :)))
