It's interesting that when scientists and thus the general public refused to believe it, the Catholic church accepted and supported the big bang theory (as well as evolution) and regarded it as the whole "let there be light" thing.

I dunno
i dont think you can say there is or isnt
theres not any real proof
True but I don't beleive there is a God.
The Big Bang works on the basis that there was some really almost impossibly small and dense particle containing all four fundamental forces as one which went "bang".
I agree with nick, I am getting a feeling you watched "steven Hawking - Master of the universe" too
Adding to my previous post. I beleive God or in other religions Gods is mans way of giving himself a purpose and to keep away from the idea of nothing more after death.
Same could be said about the God and the creation argument. What did he do before he created earth, where do dinosaurs come into it, who witnessed Adam and Eve, who was told about the earth being created? All those questions arise :P At the end of the day they're just stories, not meant to be taken as fact.
Anywho, FlyingJesus, people use Christianity vs. Atheism because they're the two major contributions to this idea, plus they have their well known theories.
I think Adam and Eve is just a metaphorical moral story about the start of life and basically lays down the whole "do as you're told or suffer the consequences" mood for the rest of the Bible.
How very clever, though I fail to see how some apparently non-existent particles came together then blew up and made everything.Quote:

It makes you go mad, honestly
I like to think there isn't. I'd rather listen to science, rather then a 'Metaphorical' story. To be honest I don't really care.
