Rumours swirling around Westminster tonight that Brexit Secretary David Davis MP is about to walk
Resignation would likely spark a leadership crisis in the government
Will David Davis resign tomorrow? I would not bet against it, says Robert Peston https://t.co/ReWCasffC2
— Fraser Nelson (@FraserNelson) June 6, 2018Interesting comment from a long-time confidante of David Davis... https://t.co/repyz7kJ4p
— Patrick O'Flynn (@oflynnsocial) June 6, 2018"No resignation....tonight" from David Davis, I'm told. He's "fighting his corner" on Brexit backstop and demand to have specified end date.

The caveat 'tonight' may spook No10 tho.#hotelcaliforniabrexit #checkoutbutneverleaveNot just David Davis but Boris Johnson also going rogue: @GaryGibbonBlog https://t.co/ijjbPr4GMH pic.twitter.com/KvnB9CWxiX

Yes, it really is crunch time this week and next for the Prime Minister. Important votes coming up on Brexit after the House of Lords added amendments, as well as a split opening over abortion in Northern Ireland in regards to some Tory MPs and the DUP over Direct Rule. It is, as they say, a perfect storm... and David Davis may be the one who kicks in the roof.
My sense is that while I was supportive of the PM, the indecisiveness has led to Tory remainers making way too much headway in muddying the waters. That said, her indecisiveness is down to the fact of the last General Election - she has no authority over the party. And that's something only a new leadership election + leader could solve.
Tomorrow will be interesting.
