"We'd love to stay but..." excuse

What's your best "We'd love to stay but..." excuse to leave an event?

Has to be our dog excuse, always got to pop on home and check if they're okay! No long nights for us

Probably "it's a long journey back," since I live a fair distance from most of my immediate family. If it's some sort of local gathering, then it'll probably be "I'm tired" or "I have work in a couple of hours."

"I'm really bored and want to play Habbo"

I'd usually say I'm tired or I've got stuff to go and do.

Top tip is just to not go in the first place

But usually falling asleep cos I am usually falling asleep
