Very senior MP tells me the word from the Cabinet corridor in the HoC is that the PM will resign tonight, Andrea Leadsom is poised to resign to launch a leadership bid, others may also resign & David Lidington will take over as acting PM. Unconfirmed!

Not from horse's mouth but one cabinet minister is said to be now 'considering' resigning while a former cabinet minister says 'she (May) won't volunteer to go tonight but she will be gone by Monday' (as i say erring on putting stuff out so don't assume it it will all happen!)

Aaaand she's off! Not sure what monstrous head will spring up from that neckwound but hopefully someone with a spine, can't honestly say that any of the top folk from any party would be my first choice though. Prob Leadsom if anyone
