I'm not sure how a multi owner cred shop would be difficult to run - it seems pretty straight forward to me? (For this example I will just say I own the room,t hat probably won't happen, but for example purposes).

I own a Habbo room, I make it a group room so certain people can put their furniture down and sell it to gain more Habbox funds. Those in higher/trustworthy positions at Habbox could also be made admin and accept or decline certain people if needs be.

I sell some of my stuff, I then decide to go offline therefore I could easily pick my furniture up so that people don't come in asking for my furniture when I am not available - this idea rolls out with all those who place furniture down (or it could at least be hidden in the room).

A multi owner cred shop isn't difficult to run in the slightest so I'm not sure why the idea was shot down. Alternatively, you could have an old fashioned shop connected by teleports and you/the owner just puts a gate in front of their teleport when they're not open for business.
I love the bit especially that I've bolded, I mean you could ask each department if they'd want to take part and if they do they can make their own room for it and trade in there all credits will go towards funding for things relating to their departments such as events etc. I just think that Habbox needs funding and they don't have enough to be giving out to lots of credits that we don't have and give them out to departments so we should have a credit shop to help fund big events because going forward we do need something big and not been done before and we can do it but we'd need a little bit of funding for it. Easily do-able in my opinion!

Edit: If any department hasn't got much or anything to give away I'm more than happy to donate a few bits to get it started.

Is trading on habbo even common now?

Surely BC is used for literally everything.

I thought trading mostly died when Casinos were removed.

Trading is still very common, people use marketplace but still use things like credit shops etc

It's all very well people saying that we need to be more welcoming to new people or whatever but it always seems it's the people saying these things who do nothing about it and stick to their own off-client group. You can't just force a community to appear and be happy spring chickens when there are people who literally only come on to complain about things and get their jollies from telling people that Habbox is dead, but in reality we do recruit new folk who are younger and more enthusiastic than the 2kl4skl oldies, which anyone who actually goes on the hotel can see.

A dedicated Hx cred shop would be excellent, it would be pretty easy to moderate with one room as the hub and then teles out to various shops, no problem. Make it so that the vendors have to provide their own teles and then they can each have a wired password to open/close the gates in front of their tele in the main room to make things easy for customers as well. A lot of people who join up recently are from giveaways and events that they go to because they aren't rich and want a way to make a quick cred or two, so giving the option to host 1c shops and stuff (and more expensive ones if people want I guess) would be fantastic for them and a great selling point for Hx in general. Obviously manager-owned shops would be useful for building up a bit of funding too, which is always useful and I believe was the original point of the idea but would def be good to have it as a community thing on top of that.

For the forum itself, how about a rep system since things have clearly been a lot slower since getting rid of it on a whim to please the Redditors

Lol rep had no impact on the forum slowing down.

Also worth noting, likes have been used 10 times in this thread, when was the last time there was 10 reps in a single thread, maybe 2015 Christmas?

Something with no limitations is used more often than something with sensible limits that actually means something, shocker

Chris quit so bailed on the skins he was supposed to make.

Laura and some others are paying for some to be made, but that's in Felix's hands now.
