    needs to be for cable,

any recomendations? reviews for wear and tear on the n1 aren't too good... maximum around £80.

    thanks!

I have the normal Belkin N1 which is good. The vision is kinda pointless with the built-in dials and what have you that tell you the average speed of the network, but if it floats your boat then go ahead Anyway, the normal N1 is good, mine works fine. Disconnection problems are down to other reasons usually, not the network but that depends on the build and company.

    I would say go with a Linksys WRT160N Wireless-N Router (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/142702)
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

I currently have the Belkin N1 Vision and its great

You have various options aswell through wireless such as guest access so if your sharing files/network storage on the network you can give a friend or something guest access (its a 8 digit number randomly picked) and they won't have access to anything on the network other than the internet

Linksys Speed Booster or something like that. (it's blue and has two signal things) I had it until I got my new computer and my friend has it, quite good.

Agreed. Anything with Linksys written on it, you know its good

But on a side note, with N technology, if you want to use N instead of B/G (if you do not know already) you will need a 'N' compatible wireless card.

If your not bothered about N, just get a WRT54G or something, that's Linksys of course
