Default Yet another waste from this government

    http://scatts.wordpress.com/2009/04/...-of-auschwitz/

Gordon Brown has donated £100 million of our tax money to Auschwitz, while his country is battling a deep recession he has put us into, his country is in danger of a pandemic sweeping across its cities and meanwhile people are dying because the NHS apparently doesn't have enough money for life saving drugs.

In a way, with such poor management we deserve to go bankrupt, because if Gordon Brown was incharge of a business it would of closed many many years ago.

    A disgraceful waste; yet again.

At the moment it is in decline, but I don't see why Germany/Israel don't pay for it, and why should we pay for it anyway, we're heavily in debt, about to battle a pandemic and people are dying in our country because the NHS cannot afford life saving drugs for them yet Gordon Brown feels in his need to just give £100 million to a museam based in Europe, which we didn't even build.

World history which concerns Germany, Poland, Israel and mainland Europe more so than it concerns us, why should we donate £100 million we don't even have while we're facing the worst national debt in Europe and while people are being denied life saving drugs on the NHS because apparently we can't afford the drugs for them, yet we can just give £100 million to Auschwitz?

As for going bankrupt, a country can't be allowed to go bankrupt as the IMF is a last resort, but you know what I mean, if he ran a shop it wouldn't last a week, nevermind 10 years.

I agree that it's important. But I think £100million is a bit much, though it does neglect to say over what period of time this £100million will be spend. Over 20years, it works out to be £5million/yr, which doesn't seem nearly as much.

Though I think we should cut our aid abroad in some places in africa and asia, where frankly, the area just simply isn't getting better. Also, bring our troops home from afghanistan. It's costing us so much money and all that results from our money is british and afghan blood is splilt. We have problems to solve at home.

I agree with Undertaker on this one considering we are losing so much money at the moment and we're having to deal with this swine flu issue I think the donation was not a sensible idea but hey it would only happen to Gordon Brown...

I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.
