(I didn't know where to put this)

but basically I'm stuck
I'm in the middle of doing a powerpoint about business communication.
I'm looking to include:
  • Email,
  • Network: Internet (Including WWW) and intranet
  • Conferencing: video, tele, web, instant messaging



I can do the other two because I know about them but I've come to network and I really don't have a clue how this works within a business. I know the difference between internet and intranet and I've included that within the powerpoint and I've explained what a network is, etc.

How does a network work within a business (communcation wise) and what are the main benefits and drawbacks from using this

Sorry if I didn't make sense but I'm really stuck here, it's probably me just having a right blonde moment x]
