    Default Laptops on planes?

    Can you take laptops on planes?

    Basicly going mexico in 2 weeks, for 2 weeks where flying with thomas cook, and mother wants to take laptop on plane, but are you allowed to take them on thomas cook planes?

    Yes they allow it. But as all/most carriers say in the true boring and safety conscious fashion ' These electrical items must not be used during takeoff or landing '. Have a nice flight

    yeah but make sure wifi is switched off - very doubtful it'll affect anything but just a precaution.

    I always wait to find someone else who has a laptop turned on before I turn mine on. Most airlines are ok with it

    Yeah they are allowed, just turn the internet thing off and don't have it on during take off and landing

    I've never been on a plane but as these guys have said im sure its fine, just dont have it on during take off and landing. Have a nice holiday

    Just a note: When you go through customs/baggage control/security whatever - have it open and turned on so they can see it's a real laptop and not something else disguised as a laptop.
