We don't leave staff to roast, Rosie Most managers have expressed interest in being able to "fight their own" battles in feedback and this thread is an example of Jamesy putting his points across well.

Anything I post would be pointless really as I would be simply repeating everything James has said, he's very busy running the moderation department, making new skins for the forum and planning new things to come to HabboxForum based on General Management reccommendation (I would know, I wrote their targets for Nov 2010). Speaking from experience, it's much easy to do updates collectively unless they are really minor things which won't really get noticed, by setting time aside for updates it ensures they get done and are easy to keep on top of.

Oh, and to date 18 accounts have been unbanned under the Forum Ban Review.

How many of them were existing members getting their old accounts back I know -:Undertaker:- and Minstrels so that's two of the 18 who used the site daily anyway and therefore does nothing for the forum. If there aren't many more than the two I singled out, how many of them have actually come back who hadn't made a new account and started posting actively?

lolol jamesy is a bit pale so could do with a bit of roasting.

Anyway yeah, it's not really Jamesy's fault if general management say no to his ideas tbh. I've learnt that trying to get them to change their mind and see it from your point of view is like pulling teeth. Shame, would be interesting to see what these ideas were though (I've only skimmed through the thread so don't know if it's been said already) cos I'd be curious to see if they'd have public support.

As for Sunday updates, I think people are overexaggerating a bit here. The Sunday updates are generally for the minor stuff that can be done on Sunday, if the forum was having a breakdown, you know full damn well that it wouldn't get left til Sunday.

A lot of people who appealed said in their appeal "since I've been banned I have only browsed hxf as a guest but would like to start posting again". It's up to them whether they come back or not, at least we're giving them the opportunity.

@ Mike, it wasn't General Management who said no, I drew up most of the review plans with Jamesy

I'm sorry, I kinda tend to put Jin in the General Management bracket cos of the green name. I knew what I meant
Even if it doesn't go ahead, giving us a look for the purpose of this thread into what those review plans were wouldn't hurt

Have you never heard of Microsoft Patch Tuesdays and Adobe quarterly updates (They wish)? It's so convenient to release updates at the time.

Something is horribly wrong if being a forum manager for a fansite becomes a full-time job, or what can be considered "busy". In theory, it's meant to be an easy job provided you've got adequate systems in place. Heck, a forum manager shouldn't have to make hundreds of thousands of changes a week, but it depends if you can find the staff these days
