That doesn't quite work with paintbrushes because they are constantly being released into circulation. Retired items are the best investments.

Not all of them get re-released, most do... but not all.

I've been thinking about trying this out on some items like pillows. Even if it doesn't work, I'll just keep the pillows. Because pillows are awesome. So win/win
