Can I ask why you're applying to get them remarked? Considering your grades, you will have easily have made it into your college/sixth form of your choice. The fact is, GCSEs don't really matter anymore after that. Once you complete A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, frankly nobody cares what GCSEs you got as long as there's 5 A*-C including Maths and English (and in some cases a Science or a Language).Woo got my results -
Maths a*
Chemisty a*
Physics a*
Biology a*
English lit a
English lang a
Music a
Latin a
French a
Geography a
Glad I did well but might try for remarks in both English, both within 10ums of an a* with a b grade unit, might aswell give it a shot.
Hope it went well for everyone else
It'll cost a bit of money to get them remarked, and at the end of the day - it doesn't matter. I was less than a percent off getting an A* in GCSE Maths a year early, and I was totally gutted considering Maths was my top subject, but then I moved onto A-Level and got an A in Maths a year early, and my GCSE grade didn't matter anymore. Now I'm doing Maths at University, and my A-Level grade doesn't matter anymore.
Just a bit of advice really You did very well
Really happy with mine considering I didn't think they went well.
Biology H - C
Chemistry H - C
Physics F - C (Should have really done H for this as I nearly got full marks on this test)
Science Unit A (ISAs) - A*
So that gave me an overall Science B grade, which was my target, so I'm really happy with that!
English Lit - B
Extremely pleased with that as my teacher did think I could only achieve a C in that.
Religious - B
Statistics coursework - B
Statistics exam - B
So for stats I got a B!!!
Oh, and best of luck to those who are getting their results.
Going for Cambridge or ucl hopefully after a levels, and recently gcses are now being looked at as well as a levels, and want like at least 5/6 a* on average, which is why I consider remarks really. Can I ask why you're applying to get them remarked?
