I just thought I'd check if it was ok.
Not to everyone's taste, I know. Well, I recoloured the black lines to a darkish brown. I also added a shine to the gold and added some shadows on the lamp and made the shadow on the floor longer. There's some other stuff that can be done but I'll leave it too you.

I like it very much - Very creative
Work on the light effect, it should be more on the fire-ish yellow.

Sorry for double post!
Had another go at the lamp with the advice taken onboard, I also had another go with the light, I would say its an improvement, but not much on one, it probably would have went better if the colour of the glass was white (transparent):
