No need to tell them. They'll work it out on their own and if they come and ask me I'll just say "well what do you think?" and they can decide for themselves.
Now a days children are very intelligent, once they grow little they themself know about the reality of Santa Clause.
Well my auntie is a Christian and always told her kids from a young age that Santa wasn't real, and Christmas was a celebration of Christ. I wouldn't tell them about Santa I don't think but obviously I want Christmas to be magic so if they believe then they believe, however I will take them to church and highlight that the importance of Christmas is all about family, not presents
If they haven't found out themselves then before they go to secondary school!
I would leave them to find out themselves. I would want that magic to last as long as possible.

send off a letter to santa that will get 'posted' by my mum the next day
recieve a letter back within hours of posting!! in my dads handwriting!!

I figured it out when I realised it wasn't physically possible to visit that many homes in the time available.
I would not tell them, I would let them naturally find out but of course if they still believe in him after the age of like 16 then clearly something would need to be said.
