Yeh that idea never works, saying log on and PM me for a weeks VIP. Need something to make them interact more in all honesty.
Large events, sure! Small events is a problem because they aren't ever stable. Exclusive VIP is another decent idea
You could always have a sort of, this month in history like The Box had - see if it brings back any memories for them, they might recognise the names and come back to see what's what.
I def think that if you're putting the effort in to do something like this then it would be worth making the highlights of it publicly viewable on the site or something as well as going out to inactive email addresses wouldn't have to be anything huge or in-depth (could look a bit daunting if it was anyway) but sounds like a nice little addition to proceedings. Obv don't add in the whole "we miss you!" message or whatever on the site
This could be cool.
Something like Time Hop Where it takes the specific date and it goes back for every single year and depending on what you have connected to Time Hop, it tells you what you did.
So we could technically have like a "Monthly" or "Weekly" time hop so whenever the newsletter is sent out it could be something like, "Weekly Time Hop Week of May 30th" 2015-2005 and each year something that happened on or around May 30th would be documented.
It's sort of what @Samanfa; had said, but give it a twist..
No no, it won't be a generic boring thing. The way I'll be doing it / Laura will be doing emails and stuff isI def think that if you're putting the effort in to do something like this then it would be worth making the highlights of it publicly viewable on the site or something as well as going out to inactive email addresses wouldn't have to be anything huge or in-depth (could look a bit daunting if it was anyway) but sounds like a nice little addition to proceedings. Not logged in for 1 year > Warm up email > ASKED TO OPT IN TO THE NEWSLETTER
Habbox.com and a few other sites will have opt in box's if you'd like to be included on the email.
Problem is, we can't just email 70k people with a newsletter every month, the IP would get blacklisted, it'd cause a tonne of problems so we need to do this quite smart.
