Oh definitely you're never going to completely cut down on it, but you remember that there were free rep threads and plenty of threads asking for rep etc. in the past, the rule does cut down on it some. Yes MSN can be used to avoid, but it dramatically reduces the incidences because you only ask people you know.

True, but the people who tend to be the sort to ask for rep are the ones who have loads of members on MSN/WLM. Probably due to the fact the rule exists, but still an abuseable system. 20 rep points isn't much, you should be aiming for just outside the reaches of some of the highest rep powered members.

Half of the active members have VIP, most have a decent supply of it, too. Winning an extra month won't really do much for them and if they don't play habbo then 2 hc sofas and a tubmaster isn't a good enough incentive. 200 is a little steep but 50 is definitely reasonable.
