Im not being funny but i think once the people who kidnapped her saw how big news it got they prob got rid of her.

Wasn't Maddies DNA found in the car that the parents rented the day AFTER she was kidnapped?

thousands of kids go missing monthly
the only reason Maddie has this attention is because her parent's had good media links and she has a pretty face
the media are so fickle, but I seriously doubt the parents had anything to do with it, the portugese police were pretty through and harsh on them
I find it near sickening that one girl gets this attention even several years down the line whereas the other children of parents equally deserving of this sort of inquiry, both from the police and the media, are overlooked.
Of course it's incredibly sad for the McCanns, but they have milked the loss of their one child where they could have used the media attention to draw attention to the fact this doesn't only happen to them, and something bigger needs to be done about it.
