New Forum Default Skin

I said a few years ago Habbox should keep the orange amd everyons was like 'ew wtf orange get rid of it' -_-

But seriously, why has Habbox always sucked when it comes to skins/themes/coding. Even some of the least popular and poorly run fansites have had better than Habbox.

The site that ludus and Immenseman opened was lovely and sleek but still kept the essence of Habbo.

The skin we used on habboforum was designed for a previous version of vbulletin and from what I understand the look it had couldn't be easily replicated on the later versions that sites like habbox uses. A thin skin with a pixel art background instead of the standard stock repeat patterns would be cool. maybe the pixel artists on here could have a go at something? Idk who is responsible for making layouts these days, there are so many forum staff.

The forum devs (who are under Skynus) design & code skins. It's a big task to ask graphic designers to do a whole skin, it's really daunting!! I think Joe was requesting a few odd graphics here and there for the one he was working on, but not the whole thing.
@Drew; I think, maybe with @Sho; did the Hogwarts one which I think was our last new skin?


Everyone knows I use the Habbox pink skin but I really think it's so outdated! A lot of other fansites have much more modern skins. We must be able to find some decent default vBull skins to buy (I'd be happy to find some replacements!) that we can just add headers or backgrounds to... But I would definitely prefer those to REPLACE the non-Habbo skins as they are, which look so old

I 100% agree that the default skin should match the site and the site branding (which has all but disappeared right now). Do we have a v7 skin designed does anyone know? @David; - we could replace the v6 skin with that.


It would be a big change but appearance is everything these days and we're at a disadvantage there I believe.

the last new one was basically a re colour with pixel art made for icons etc

i know there is a v7 forum skin cause i viewed it but no one was ever working on it really

Yeah we do, it's 'Habboxv7' on the skin selector and is the one I was working on before I resigned as gm. I would like to finish it but Tom is away I think so can't ask him.

I have no idea - I remember it launching but not if it was paid vs free.
