It's a shame how Donnie Darko is usually remembered for Gary Jules' cover of Mad World when another fantastic Tears For Fears song is actually used to accompany what I believe to be the best sequence in the entire film. Possibly one of the best sequences ever, in fact. I am of course talking about the school scene. Laa la-la laa-la. La la la laa-la.
i love that scene in donnie darko. one of the best TFF songs as well.

That was the first time I heard it and never even had any intention of playing the game but loved this trailer too

this trailer pretty much made me want to play GoW, so I suppose it served it's purpose pretty well. the GoW trailers have always been pretty awesome imo

Not to take anything away from your own views, but you weren't born in 82 either, so you can't really use that as a way of belittling anyone's opinion on this.

In case anyone's interested, I don't like either version as neither cater to my taste - although I wouldn't try to pretend that's a valid argument against the creativity of either version. There are plenty of covers that I prefer to originals and vice versa, it just so happens that in this case I wasn't wowed by anyone's attempt.

This is a great song. A lot of people confuse the meaning. It is originally about bullying.

What? So if your point is that you can't belittle someone's opinions because you weren't born in 1982, why are you then proceeding to belittle people's opinions. You make absolutely no sense

As I said, people don't understand the point of this thread, and I am beyond explaining.
