thats called mic control, and if you have a powerful voice like him then you need to be good at controlling the microphone to maintain the volume of the vocal. i didnt actually see his performance so i dont know if he was miming or not but to give that as a reason to suggest he was is incorrect soz

no hes right, at one point he put the mic on the floor (on the stand obv) and turned his back away from the mic, and yet the volume stayed exactly the same?
