Like I saidm Sulake will be feeling the pinch. Most parents are to scared to spend a few pounds on food, let alone give there kids money to waste on an online game. Sulake think that they can rake in a few more hundred quid if they stop fansites from taking in money from Habbo users.

Isn't kind of silly discussing plans in a thread that anyone can see. o.O

It may mean having to change the domain and possibly give up official status (does being official make that much difference anyway?) and just carry on as normal. Perhaps if it was just changed to "habox", it wouldn't have the wird "Habbo" in it so Sulake couldn't really say anything?...

As somebody said, there's Runescape sections but Habbox isn't a Runescape fansite is it? So maybe it could just be a general online gaming fansite or something?
And guess what the new rule be then?

"Habbo Fansites affiliated with forums that offer VIP services will be removed."

Don't say it won't happen - if people try and sneak past the rule, then Habbo will make more.

You can't link to any site with premium membership (though this will obviously be selectively enforced, I doubt that they will do it for example for ads) but we can't have a link to any site where they suspect the fees are coming to us probably.

    The forum uses Habbo images.

You have to go up to someone at Habbo when they say that and go:

    ... So?

Don't they deserve something extra for advertising Habbo? They've written their own content and naturally that content won't be very negative (unless you have hate sites, but that's irrelevant). The site needs to survive and I don't see any problem with a fansite gaining money from it. Heck, anime fansites make a hell of a lot of money on the art form, hopefully they won't be attacked by someone, somehow, somewhere copyrighting anime art

If only Sulake would stop us from selling VIP but pay Habbox's site fees.

I don't know what point you're trying to get across, but I think you're missreading what I'm saying. I'm against the removal of VIP (as says the signature I've created).

They wouldn't care about a few hundred pounds. They make millions.

I dont know they will be making a lot still maybe not as much as they used to before this "credit crunch" but this rule was around before the credit crunch started to hit us hard anyways.
