The advert that just played to audition for next years X-Factor said "If you are 16 or over" but I thought the minimum age was 14. Did they raise it back up?

They lowered the age because they brought in the extra age group. They did that last year so it'd surprise me if it was raised again.

i think they raised it because they relised that 14 was to young
seeing most of the 14 year old boys balls had'nt dropped yet lmao
but ya the advert did say 16+

I think thats right, I went with a mate this year and they said to him "you are too young" what a waste of a day.
(There's 4 auditions BEFORE the real judges)

It does make sense though because no 14 year-old is ever going to win it.

It was 14 last year, but they raised to 16 this year because they realised that 14 was wayyy too young lol
