PM pays tribute to England cricket team

Prime Minister David Cameron has led tributes to the England cricket team as they win the ICC World Twenty 20.

The England team, who were playing at the Kensington Oval in London, won the final match on Sunday.

Toasting the team’s success, the PM said:

“Congratulations to Paul Collingwood and the England Twenty 20 team on becoming world champions for the first time with a magnificent victory over Australia.

Let’s hope this marks the start of a great summer of sport for England.”

Yeah, I would have liked some more press coverage on winning T/20 but I presume the ashes is one of the greatest rivals in cricket.

Im quite suprised Jimmy Anderson wasnt used for the tournament either
