But you don't wear one so.

That said, given you'd be a man in women's clothing I would probably like it even less if you wore one. So yeah, ban it.

That's not the point at all, I could do if I chose to and it would be nothing to do with "assimilation". I can also order things from China, speak a few words of Swahili, and watch some good old German hardcore, none of those things are very British but I assume you don't want to ban all of that as well

I don't see any of that on the streets, sorry. I do see burkas though, and I hate them. So ban it.

I don't see any burkas ever but I definitely see Chinese goods and German porn. Well done on admitting that your entire view is just down to hatred though

I don't like nuts but I don't think banning them is a great plan

I'm just voting on my preferences and tastes, just like everybody else does and is entitled to.

I don't see why I should be subjected to libertarian principle tests on my likes/dislikes when it comes to public policy, but nobody else is - the glaring examples being when it comes to forcing landlords to ban smoking in pubs and forcing bakers to bake gay 'wedding' cakes. Screw it, i'll vote on what I want just as everybody else does!

And as for hatred, yeah I do hate the burka and that's why I want to ban it. You're 100% correct.

K but surely you're not stupid enough to think that anything actually gets banned just because someone "hates it" right. Such an absolute baby

The world does not revolve around your opinion because you're white. They're allowed to be whatever religion they want. If you gave a valid reason for banning them, maybe people would listen. I'm personally against them because you can't see their face if they commit a crime, so they'd be difficult to identify. It's not because I'm Christian (which I'm not), or I don't like Muslims.

just here to be political considering there's been a pretty one-sided viewpoint on here for a couple of years x

I don't mind headscarf coverings but anything that prevents someone from being identified or makes it difficult to do so should not allowed. So yes, burqas and similar clothing should be banned. No doubt about it.

Who said anything about race? You racist. And did you just assume my identity as white? How bigoted.

Policy does revolve around my opinion and the opinions of Britons in our homeland, the United Kingdom. Just as the rules that govern Saudi Arabia revolve around the opinions of the muslims whose homeland it is. My country, my opinion, my choice.

Like I say, the majority of Britons support banning the burka.
