Default I'm in love with my best friend =/

I'm in love with my best friend, Shannon. We haven't known each other for long but we've became really good friends. Just recently I realised that I like her. I've already told her that I like her but that hasn't really changed anything. Recently she was at a school trip to Belgium and my best mate Connor's girfriend Kerri said that Shannon wouldn't shut up about me. She even brought me something back from there, but she didn't bring any for any of her girl pals. Plus I'm really high in her Top Friends on Bebo and she's wrote about me on it and we're always texting each other.

So should I go ahead and ask her out?

Relationships with a really good friend normally either go 2 ways:
    1) It does not work at all, and is very awkward (personal experience).
    2) It works great, you already know alot about each other. Infact lads seem to become close to girls they find attractive and really want it to work. (Again personal experience, i've been going out with a girl for 7 months who I was really close to before ).

Well speaking of experience here, dont do it. I said to my best friend
    " Wanna Go out "
    She Said:
" I'm sorry Tom, I didn't mean for you to think that we are in love I just want us to be very good friends Tom I'm sorry you thought I felt that wat about you "

    Me =

You should have reversed it by saying "..tomorrow night? GOD woman, let me finish!"

Well I would ask her if she would like to be a friend or something more and say whatever her reply is it won't effect your friendship. Best to be direct I think.

Yeah - Ask her if she wants to be more than a friend.
