Not my kinda thang, but you can't just dominish a band's genre simply because you might not like them for publicity reasons or their music?

Screamo is one of my favourite genres.
    Bring me the Horizon
    PenKnifeLoveLife
    The Devil Wears Prada
Enter Shikari (Not really over screamo, but yah know )
    the blackout
    Senses Fail
I wouldnt say Jimmy Eat World were one of the people who started it, but they were an early form.

Jimmy Eat World are actually one of the only decent mainstream 'emo' bands, who've stuck well the original roots. Whereas most the bands haven't even heard of Rites Of Spring or Embrace (not the crap indie band)

Although it has a sorta 'dance' edge to it in places, I agree - what the hell?

To be honest all alexisonfire's singers are good and it's a good mix in songs.

If you think about it, Linkin Park are actually quite Emo, going by the lyrics, if you listen hard enough you'll see. Dont flame me though for saying that though, ;p
My dad has always said Radiohead are Emo-ish, but i dont really listen to his opinion in music

    I lol at your dad

as i've said before, generally the emotional tag has just be thrust upon the scene, where actually it doesn't have much to do with the normal 'boy meets girl, girl dumps boy, boy writes song' cliche that we see so much today.
