my school updated everything over the summer holidays, so they use a new proxy so we can connect to the internet.

this proxy does not have a filter on it but its password protected and we have to use the login that we're logged into the computers with to activate it so we do get tracked

Anyways about the internet, we just pull out the internet cable from the PC and put it in again, it disconnects you from the server then when you plug it in again you rejoin it however you rejoin it AFTER all the users internet got switched off so your internet is still on.
