I know the sixth form at my school wants 5 GCSEs A*-C with 2 of them being maths and english. If you don't get that then you can come in doing like 3 AS and re-sit which ever you failed being it math or english.
What's bTec?
bTec is a foundation course (You don't get as many options though)

Technically yes it is a pass but in terms of colleges it isn't.

Sounds likeanything above a U is a pass, but anything under a C is like viewed as being a foundation level rather than being more skilled. iygm?Originally Posted by DirectgovGrades
GCSEs are graded A*-G and U (unclassified):
higher tier exams leads to grades A*-D
foundation tier exams leads to grades C-G
The results are published in March and August.
