Whyere did you get the PC from?

As far as I'm aware it should be running one dual channel and one standalone.

But if you're doing 6GB in a not tripple channel system the way to do it is 2 x 2GB and 2 x 1GB as you should get two dual channels.

The best way to sort it would be to buy to follow what Stephen said ^^^.

Found it on HPs website and fell in love with it It's getting very difficult to find decent pre-made computers nowadays since laptops and netbooks took off :/ Ebuyer, Amazon and Play lacked any decent computers.

I've bought an extra 2GB, my old PC had 2x1GB and were completely different. The only downside is the RAM in this new PC is Kingston, and Kingston seem to lack a huge range of RAM :/

Just download a 64-bit ISO, your 32-bit key will work with it

You should run 64-bit anyway if you can.

Does your Windows 7 have difficulties running Windows Live? When I had Windows 7 Professional 32-bit, Adobe Flash Player 10 would error when attempting to show any adverts in Windows Live, leading to it disconnecting. I think it causes the taskbar to have issues too. Something I haven't noticed in 64-bit :/

Actually, now that you mention it, Yes, I do. Games For Windows LIVE doesn't log me in when I'm on DiRT 2, and it fails to download my profile.
