    And since it's in an alternate timeline, they could make that story anything they wanted and it wouldn't have to link in with star trek 1 - 10

    It's not an alternate timeline, it's a prequel (set before the original stuff).

    My friend saw the film, he said it's the best one yet. And ive only ever seen 1 star trek film (cant remember which one) But I will watch it when it comes out on DVD BLUE RAY ALL THE WAY!

    Yeah pretty good, shame they had to include a 'god scene' where someone is surrounded by enemies yet still doesnt get shot, but apart from that, good movie.

    Oh and its Blu-Ray not 'Blue Ray'

    I haven't seen it yet, is it even out? The trailers make it look awesome, and i've not ever been a fan of Star Trek anyway, but the trailors definitely made it look like a must-watch.

    I saw it last Friday and thought it was great, never seen the previous Star Treks, but I think its a film I would buy on DVD

    I loved how they made it funny too

    I've heard nothing but good things. I've never been a Star Trek fan, but will probably check it out when it hits DVD.
