buzz refers to a creature that buzz. So buzzing creature = wasp/bee -> they have stingers -> the icon is a stinger?

Where the white stripes are, make it black? Or make the Buzz orange and the red stripes orange, because it's confusing =]

It's red and black because they are the colours of the new layout design. It's to represent the sting of a bee/wasp and it kinda also looks like a 'transmission'.
