i actually just saw the remake of the last house on the left, this is what i wrote on flixster:

Brilliant horror flick, was a bit slow to begin with, but once it got into it it was fantastic. I loved that it wasn't a typical horror film where the madman terrorizes the stupid blonde girls running up the stairs, instead the roles were reversed and the protagonists got the last laugh.
